Before we begin today's acidic tales, we'll start by addressing some questions you may all have right now. Yes, our official Spoons email account was compromised this morning. No, the hackers did not obtain any particularly sensitive information (all files were stored on our personal accounts). Yes, we know who the hackers were. No, we will not tell you who the hackers were. Yes, the hackers were dealt with appropriate measures as we saw fit. No, future hacking and unauthorized usage of our email address will not be tolerated (from NOW on, will result in DQ for the hackers).
We have the action-packed details about how the account was compromised and how we went on a high-speed chase during Tutorial to reclaim it. Looking back, it was actually pretty exhilarating to be part of the action, for once. It was like something out of a spy movie. But we'll save this tale for tomorrow, since today is devoted to those who have died via lemons. Stay tuned!
We'll begin with a fairly intense story. DJ Khaled -- err, Prad -- obtained the work schedule of his killer a few days ago. Noting that his killer started work at 12 PM today, he threw his lemon away as soon as he thought his killer had left for work. Little did he know, that schedule was planted and Photoshopped by his killer, who didn't actually start work until 5 PM today. His killer found him in the parking lot around 2 PM and had his/her friend give Prad a hug. Prad, knowing that this friend was working with his killer, allegedly yelled “LOL MY KILLER IS AT WORK” while his killer snuck up and took him out as he was trapped in a hug. Unfortunately, this was disputed and ruled an invalid kill due to the restraining nature of that hug. But shortly after, as he waited in line to pay his AP test fees and was on the phone with a fellow Goderator discussing the dispute, his killer tagged him out again. Valid kill. Bears a strange, uncanny resemblance to the death of Emily Zhong several days ago. Eliminated while discussing a dispute. Maybe the Tricksters aren't the only amoral people out there. Food for thought?
Next story, even more intense. After being salty about not getting the Trump Card, this killer decided to trick his/her target into thinking that he/she had won the Trump Card. He/she spent the night on Facebook planting seeds for tricking Sanjana into thinking that he/she had won the trump card, with comments such as “I can't tell you if I won, but you can guess ;)”. He/she then fabricated an email from us stating that we had give him/her the Trump Card. This killer then approached Sanjana randomly and tagged her out, showing her the email as (phony) evidence. When she took the lemon out of her mouth in defeat, the killer then retagged Sanjana and completed the kill for real. And thus ended the killer's journey of struggles, which included botched kills that revealed his/her identity, failed attempts to trick Sanjana into not doing Immunities, and numerous stalking endeavors. Well played.
Now, to end with a short and sweet (or sour) tale. We didn't get a photo for this one, so instead here's a photo of the sign we put up on the library. How cute. Speaking of cute, Melvin was walking out of his fifth period class when his killer's friend ran up to his ear and screamed into it. Scared and surprised, he put his hand to his mouth and... Rest in peace, friend.
