“This Aint't a Chair-ity”

Isn't it great to be back? Ah, yes. It feels like we've been gone forever, but at least we have returned to our post here at The Daily Cannon. Funny story, more than a few people frantically chatted us late in the evenings during WASC asking when we were going to post. Awwww. We're not used to being loved and cared about. What a strange but happy feeling this is! We promise, we'll make it up to you guys by making the remainder of Spoons as kick-ass as possible. Yes, we're aware that the past few Immunities haven't been quite as exciting as anticipated. We're confident that in an Immunity or two, things will begin to escalate very, very quickly, and it will be a fun time for everyone. And by everyone, we mean EVERYONE. Even those of you who have died already. Oops, we've said too much already.

Just keep in mind that death is only another beginning.

Anyway, enough sentiment. Let's discuss today's rather anticlimactic day (6 kills, really?). It was pretty entertaining to see swarms of you camping out in front of your third period classrooms during brunch. If it wasn't gray today, it'd feel just like summer. Most of today's kills were rather simple. People were just not sitting in their chair fully, so their targets got them. Our story today regards a rather intense (failed) double kill. The first to go was Whitney. Her killer was waiting outside of her third period class, and as soon as she stepped outside, she was taken out.

Now, the intense bit. This killer decided to race the clock and try to kill his/her next target immediately, before he got news of it. Brian, who didn't come with his Immunity items (as usual) saw this person approach him in the quad. Walking towards him rather slowly. At first, he just waved and gave a friendly greeting. Perhaps he/she was approaching him to make a plan to work together to kill Whitney. Wouldn't that be nice? To not have to worry about Whitney anymore.

When he/she got closer, he came to his senses. And he booked it. As someone who has played soccer with him for many years of my life, I can confidently say that I have never seen Brian run that fast before. One second he was there, the next second he was by the front gate. And his killer was hot in pursuit, somehow managing to almost keep up with him despite running in flip flops. Below, we've plotted a route of Brian's escape. Well done, sir. You live to see another day. For those of you who decide not to do the Immunities, we can respect that. Perfectly valid strategy. As long as you're ready to run for your life. And pray that your killer isn't in cross country.

Now, before we sign off for the day, time for a bit of analysis. We noticed that not many of you have been dying in the past few Immunities. Part of it is our own fault. We recognize that these last two Immunities, in particular, have been a little difficult to garner kills in. But part of it is also due to the fact that those of you who remain are competitors. In it to win it (except for those of you who are ready to give up...). You are conservative and concerned about surviving rather than killing, which is quite rational. So today, we Goderators gathered together and had a little chit-chat. The calendar has been slightly reshuffled, and our planned Immunities have been tweaked to allow for... maximum destruction (and to make things more exciting than they have been in these past few days). Our guess is as good as yours as to how those will turn out. But on paper, they sure look savage already. Until then!
