If generating mass paranoia was our goal (which it was), then we'll be giving ourselves a big pat on the back for a job well done. The lot of you were pretty jittery today, constantly running or looking down or telling friends to be watching out on a swivel. Even some of the underclassmen were getting pretty into it. Some were heard mumbling “let's go kill some seniors” in a corner while others were pursuing seemingly random Spooners as part of planned assassinations. And, of course, we had a fair amount of suicides, as well (which we shall get to, soon). We'll begin today with a video representative of this Immunity's general mood.
It's like having their own media crew following them around! And Gabby and Sherry weren't the only ones to experience this honor. Multiple people (such as Dara) were stalked by squads of paparazzi, walking by with their phones on “record video” in attempt to get a glimpse of a direct look at the camera.
Hinten's kill was another such example. Apparently, one his friends had taken a walk-by video of his target. Hinten didn't know about the existence of this video until about 2:15 PM, yet he was on his way to a doctor's appointment. Frantically, Hinten chatted this friend. About half an hour later, his friend identified a legitimate screenshot moment in the video and sent it to him, but at this time Hinten was driving on the freeway. It was 2:45 PM and he had 18 minutes to go before arriving at his destination. But the deadline for submitting the kill-confirming photo was 3:00 PM. All we'll say is that it is unclear whether the time at which he sent the photo to us overlapped with the time at which he was driving. “Not worth,” he said, in hindsight. Deep down, he knew it was well worth it. (But on the reals, dying in Spoons is a much better option than dying on the freeway. Please keep that in mind, everyone.)
Next, we have the story of Catherine's botched kill. Her target is a recurring character in our Spoons microcosm who we all have come to love. “Literally, [my target] is the sneakiest teleporter alive.” Knowing her target's 3rd period class, Catherine assembled a mob of her friends to cover all the exits, behind bushes, and by the windows -- she even had the teacher in on it. Yet she found him/her 5 or 10 minutes later at Stober Field with his/her eyes closed. How he/she got there is anyone's guess.
And finally, we have a string of suicides. The ballsiest one was probably that of George. With no shame, he sent his killer a text out of the blue. We'll let you see for yourself.
This man ain't messing around. Props to you, George. We had several other suicides, or what appear to be suicides from the way the people in the pictures looked at the camera. Observe below.
To those of you who are peacing out tonight due to the Quota, it's been real. Thank you for joining us on this Spoons journey, and we hope you feel pleased with yourself that you've accomplished literally nothing over the course of the past month. Just kidding, love you all! The Quota death count will be posted with tomorrow's article (no, Quota deaths do not count as kills for you), and some time this weekend we'll be writing a post covering the last Trump Card that happened. And then, we're on to the final few weeks and the Finale. Until then!
