Today, we sound the fallen tributes cannon 1 time.

Emily Mok.

3.20.16 Headline:
“What Are the Chances?”

Today's one and only kill was a pretty spectacular chance occurrence. It is moments like these that force us to consider whether luck or fate exist. In the morning, this killer headed over the Santa Clara University for his/her piano evaluation. Nothing out of the ordinary. Just had to show up to play piano and get tested. As he/she was checking in, he/she noticed that one of the name-tags on the table read “Emily Mok”. He/she was completely surprised, and he/she realized that Emily would, too, be just as unsuspecting. He/she presumably ducked around a corner and, as she approached to check in, stepped out and took her out of the game. In his/her own words, “Super unexpected and spont for both of us / Like she just happened to be here for piano, what are the chances...” Hopefully, she wasn't too emotionally distraught to perform well on her piano evaluation. At least now you can exist (rest) in peace.

Speaking of chances, we're going to try something a little different every few days going forward. We're well aware of the fact that on slow days, we really don't have much to write about. And it's rather difficult to come up with random topics day after day after day. We'll be collaborating with a special guest writer to analyze the statistics behind Spoons. Together, we will examine the numbers, trends, graphs, and patterns of this game in hopes of making all of us more informed and intellectual Spooners. Until then!
